LUSH: Twilight

This is probably one of the prettiest bath bombs from Lush and if you love a tonne of glitter in your bath then definitely give this one a shot.

I'm not a massive fan of lavender scents so I was a bit dubious as to whether or not I'd like this but actually, i couldn't smell a lot of lavender in it, more of a malty ever so slightly vanilla-esk scent which is lovely.

It is super moisturising, comforting and creates pink and blue foamy swirls that turn the water into a beautiful purple shade packed with glitter! What could be better?

At £3.20 it's one of their more expensive bath bombs but it is one of the prettiest ones I've tried for sure! Only thing I can moan about is that the glitter was a bit of a pain to remove but other than that it was amazing and I will be going back for more!

Review: NARS Blush in Orgasm - A Blush For Everyone?

This seems to be one of the top cheek products everyone seems to rave about claiming it to be the ultimate universal blush and I remember being really excited when I finally took the plunge and purchased it mid last year! The packaging is lovely as with all NARS products, well designed minus the dirt grabbing finish (which i can live with as it feels super soft), the pan is well attached etc etc but I must admit I wasn't as wowed by this product as I had hoped, at first anyway.

The blush itself is a lovely peachy pink with lovely golden tones which perhaps were a bit too glitter like for me in certain lights as I'm pretty fair which tends to make getting the right blush a bit of a nightmare. This being said makes the universal claim that seems to have been made over the blogsphere a little bit of a porkie but nevertheless I have really grown to like it.

I don't really know what I was expecting when I first tried it as the pigmentation didn't seem to show up on my skin until I'd either given a good 2 coats or drowned my brush in it but lesson learnt, less is more. For some reason, the lighting in my room seems to make this bush look near invisible until I get into natural lighting which isn't the greatest thing to say the least. Just me? ...Probably.

All in all I probably won't re purchase or even finish the entire thing but I think if you have darker skin than me, give it a go!

P.s. Hello again everyone! Little update for those who are wondering, still very much in the woods with my mind problems but hoping blogging again will aid my distraction from this. Thank you for all being so patient and for all your lovely comments on my last post. You're all amazing and I cannot thank you enough for your support as It's really what I need right now. xxxxx

Missed me?

Sorry for my very long absence but to cut a long story short I've been really struggling with living in general and let everything get on top of me and came very close to ending my life. I don't feel I can go into detail right now so sorry if that sounds very blunt and matter of fact. I never imagined so many of you would notice my little blog had disappeared! I'd like to thank all of you who asked after me, especially Amy and Lola, you're all wonderful and I love you all. I'm hoping to start blogging a bit again but I may take a while for me to get back into the swing of things. Any requests you have would be very useful to me right now.

If you would like to add me on my private twitter - @GeeeGardner

I will love you and leave you right now but I will be back very very soon :) xo

Review: Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Conditioner

This was a bit of a mistake buy, I was meant to pick up the shampoo but somehow being the ditsy girl I am I grabbed this instead! I'm glad I did as it smells amazing, as Soap & Glory products do.

It claims to de tangle, gloss, protect and strengthen and I did notice my hair was slightly more glossy after using this but not amazingly so. As for the other claims I can't really comment as my hair doesn't tangle an awful lot and I haven't noticed whether my hair has strengthened since using this but it smells amazing and doesn't weigh my hair down in the slightest!

I would recommend this if you have quite limp, oily hair as it doesn't leave any residue on your hair to weigh it down but if your hair needs a bit more TLC then this probably won't be nourishing enough for you.

Top 3 Mascara Favourites!

I'm a bit of a mascara slut and have never really stick to just one brand for longer than a month or so. I have quite straight lashes that don't like to hold a curl very well so a lot of mascara don't work for me, especially ones with plastic applicators and I thought I'd share my favourites with you guys!

So I have narrowed it down to three which too a bit of doing but these are definitely my go to mascaras at the moment!

Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara - This is the newest addition to my shockingly huge mascara collection and I have been really really loving it! It has a bristle applicator which is always a plus with me and doesn't clump at all! It holds a curl, adds volume, separates my lashes perfectly and makes my lashes so long! I have relatively long lashes but this mascara, wow. This is probably my favourite at the moment, and it ticks all the boxes for me!

L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara - This was my favourite for quite a while but it's such an awful pain to apply and remove. It holds my lashes like no other but my goodness does it take some getting off! It's also has a tendency to clump rather a lot until you get the hang of applying it as the brush is super bendy! I love it though and it is my go to waterproof mascara and will be for a long time I imagine.

No7 Exquisite Curl Mascara - Good old No7, I really love their stuff and I had a previous love with their lengthening mascara and when I bought this one I  wasn't overly keen at first but once I got the hang of applying it to it's advantages it became my go to mascara and I still reach for this on a natural make up day. It defines my lashes wonderfully whilst still looking natural and is a dream to get off.

So those are my current favourites in the mascara department! What are your favourites?

Review: Soap & Glory Calm One

I'm usually a bit sceptical about calming bath products because the majority of the time they smell like lavender and not much else and I'm not entirely fond of lavender at all. I do like some lavender scented things like LUSH Ikle Baby Bot and their Twilight bath ballistics although that does not smells a lot like lavender to me at all, haha but usually, I will avoid it and thereby avoid relaxing/calming bits and bobs but I gave this baby a quick sniff in Boots and yay! Think Johnsons Baby Bath come Clean On Me. Ah-may-zing.

It is the perfect combination of calming and girly and I actually did find it rather relaxing! It's super moisturising as well with it's added body lotion and it actually feels like conditioner. It doesn't give a massive amount of bubbles but I'm not all that bothered for the most part because I'm into the bath bombs and melts but if you're wanting a tonne of bubbles, this will give you some but not a lot.

To sum this review up, I love it I just wish is bubbled up just ever so slightly more.

Any other S&G recommendations for me?
